SHOOTING STAR IN LARGO

La Straight Arrow torna con un nuovo doppio cd intitolato “Shooting Star In Largo” con i due concerti di domenica 27 giugno 1976 del tour del Bicentenario al Landover Capital Center di Largo.

Tra il pubblico del concerto della sera era presente Elton John che ha incontrato Elvis prima del suo spettacolo. Prima di andarsene, il cantante britannico ha chiesto a Elvis di cantare “Heartbreak Hotel” (cosa che Elvis ha fatto) e lo ha informato che anche i suoi genitori sarebbero stati tra il pubblico. 
Entrambi gli spettacoli sono stati presi direttamente dal master tape originale registrato dal pubblico da un famoso fotografo di molti concerti di Elvis degli anni ’70, il superfan americano Harold Jean Newton (23 luglio 1939 – 10 giugno 2009). 

Lo spettacolo del 27 giugno 1976 delle 14:30 è stato pubblicato nel 2002 con il titolo “Beltway To Largo” mentre quello della sera è inedito. 

Questa edizione speciale è presentata in doppio digipack de-luxe, accompagnata da un articolo della stampa locale. Tutte le immagini utilizzate per questo progetto sono state scattate sul palco durante i concerti di Elvis a Largo nel 1976.
