THE ASHEVILLE MARATHON ’75

La AudiRec torna con un nuovissimo Long-Box di 4 cd intitolato “The Asheville Marathon ’75” con i concerti del 22 (2 show), 23 e 24 luglio 1975 a Asheville. Elvis è in gran forma e regala al pubblico concerti straordinari con una scaletta insolita cantando alcuni brani su richiesta come “Memphis Tennessee”, “An American Trilogy”, “Heartbreak Hotel”, “Jailhouse Rock”, “Something”, “Return To Sender” o “Wooden Heart”. E’ il periodo di uscita dell’album “Elvis Today” e per promuoverlo, Elvis esegue “Shake A Hand”, “Fairytale”, “T.R.O.U.B.L.E.” e “Pieces Of My Life”. Il tour parte l’8 luglio per concludersi il 17 per un totale di 21 concerti in 11 città diverse. Durante questi concerti ad Asheville, Elvis regala diversi anelli al pubblico in prima fila e la sua chitarra Gibson Ebony Dove al fortunatissimo Mike Harris di Asheville il quale crede di doverla restituire ed Elvis gli risponde: “No, questa è tua. L’ho data a te per una ragione, e ti aiuterà un giorno”. Si tratta di registrazioni amatoriali, ma con il suono curato e pulito. All’interno di questo bellissimo Long-Box c’è un libretto di 16 pagine con una grande raccolta di foto scattate ad Asheville. Il tutto realizzato e presentato con tre diverse cover. Ovviamente il contenuto è lo stesso, ma il collezionista ha la possibilità di scegliere la copertina che più gli piace o prenderli tutti e tre!!
